How it works

From export to a delivered e-invoice

  1. 01

    Folder

    Your accounting program saves an exported invoice to the folder the app watches. A new file is sent on its own.

  2. 02

    Check in ePošťák

    ePošťák checks the file like an import in the inbox: parties, lines, VAT and totals. If something is wrong you see the exact reason in plain words.

  3. 03

    Approval in the inbox

    The invoice waits under “Na kontrolu” (for review). You look at it and approve it with one click. Nothing is sent without your approval.

  4. 04

    Delivered e-invoice

    After approval ePošťák delivers the invoice to your customer. The delivery status is shown on the invoice in the inbox.

A PDF with an embedded ISDOC invoice goes out just like XML. Other PDFs and images wait under “Na kontrolu”: one click turns them into a draft invoice in ePošťák, you check the data and send it. Upload a CSV file on the “Nahrať doklad” (Upload document) page.

KROS Omega: export ISDOC. The app does not read the text export (TXT).

Setup

Three steps, about five minutes

  1. 01

    Install the app from Microsoft Store

    Click “Get it from Microsoft Store” and install ePošťák Desktop. New versions arrive through Microsoft Store on their own.

  2. 02

    Click „Pripojiť počítač“ (connect a computer) in the inbox

    Sign in to ePošťák, open ePošťák Desktop and click „Pripojiť počítač“. A one-time code appears, valid for 15 minutes.

  3. 03

    Paste the code into the app

    The app asks for the code on first start. Then you pick a folder and set up its export in your accounting program.

Step by step

This is the app on day one: connect your company, pick the folders, then watch your invoices go out.

Connect your company. Create the pairing code in ePošťák under ePošťák Desktop with Pripojiť počítač (connect computer). Paste it into the app and press Pripojiť. The code is short-lived and works once.

Price

The app is free, you pay only for delivered invoices

  • You download and use the app at no charge.
  • Invoices sent through it are billed by the API price list, like a firm's direct API connection.
  • In 2026 only delivered invoices and credit notes are paid. If your customer is not on Peppol, you pay nothing.
  • Desktop needs the firm's API plan. A firm on the Free plan has to change its plan first.

What people ask before installing

How much does ePošťák Desktop cost?

The app is free. You pay only for invoices and credit notes by the API price list, and in 2026 only those delivered to your customer.

Can an invoice leave without my approval?

No. At the start every document waits under “Na kontrolu” and leaves only after you approve it. A faulty document is not sent at all and you see its exact error.

I do not have an ePošťák account yet. How do I start?

On the Financial Administration portal vpds.financnasprava.sk, choose ePošťák as your digital postman. Registration with activation takes about 2 minutes and you receive access to your mailbox by e-mail. Then order the API program in Settings and connect the computer under ePošťák Desktop.

My program is not listed. Will it work?

If it can export ISDOC or Peppol BIS 3 (UBL) XML, yes. Otherwise upload the file by hand in the inbox or contact us.

What happens to the original file?

It stays where it is. The app never deletes files, it only remembers which ones were sent.

Does the app also bring received invoices?

Yes. The app saves received invoices into the received-documents folder, from where you load them into your accounting program. They are also in your ePošťák inbox.

Can I use it on several computers?

Yes, one firm can connect up to 20 computers. Each has its own code and you can disconnect it in the inbox at any time.

What if my computer is lost?

You disconnect the computer in the inbox with one click and its access ends at once. The app does not hold your account password, only a key for this computer.
